Geoffrey DePaula M.Ac. Lic.Ac. Dipl.C.H. -
began an intensive study of Yeung (Yang) family style of Tai Chi
& Qi Gong (energy cultivation) in 1993. Subsequently, he chose to
pursue acupuncture & Chinese medicine as a way to further integrate
this mind-body approach into his life. He received his Master's
degree in Acupuncture from New
England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA in 2000. In addition,
he completed a postgraduate 3 year training in Chinese herbal medicine
with a focus on internal medicine, dermatology, and gynecology.
He is a diplomate in Acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine via the
NCCAOM, (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine) and is board certified by the Massachusetts board of medicine.
His practice specializes in the treatment of pain, digestive disorders
(including Candidia treatment), respiratory disease, gynecology,
immune/energy enhancement, and using custom diet therapy to optimize
your health for long term wellness .
Furthermore, he also teaches individuals about tools to reduce stress,
and how to integrate these practices into their life to promote
mental/emotional peace-of-mind and happiness. In addition, he also
teaches on topics such as Yoga Nidra (yogic “sleep” for stress reduction),
food & healing, and Anti-aging naturally.
Eileen Power DePaula, M.Ed., M.Ac. Lic.Ac.
- has been practicing Acupuncture since 1995, and is licensed by
the Board of Medicine in Massachusetts. She has been a massage therapist
since 1986, and holds a BS in Clinical Nutrition,an M.Ed. in Health
Education, and is a Certified Childbirth Educator through the Association
of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators (ALACE). She is persuing
training as a Prenatal Yoga Instructor to integrate the principles
of childbirth education with prenatal yoga and to teach classes
on preparation of labor using movement, meditation, breath, and
vocal toning.
She has spent over 20 years specializing in women's health with
a particular focus on gynecology, fertility, prenatal and postpartum,
stress and anxiety disorders, orthopedics, and adjunctive cancer
treatment. She was a faculty member at the New
England School of Acupuncture for 6 years, and currently teaches
post-graduate education to acupuncturists in the area of women's
health.
